Volunteering & Fundraising

 

As a quickly growing organization, Billings Scorpion Lacrosse needs the continued support and assistance of our Billings families in order to improve, expand, and evolve with each changing season.

 

With the growth comes the need for coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, field maintenance, game set up and take down, score keeping, etc. These opportunities will be available throughout the season and will be communicated from the Volunteer Coordinator and Team Managers.

 

Volunteer Requirements:

  • $200 deposit check to Team Manager at the beginning of the season.

  • Complete 5 volunteer credits throughout the season

  • Upon completion of volunteer credits, the deposit will be returned.

  • If volunteer credits are not completed the deposit will be cashed.

 

As a non-profit organization, BSL operates in large part from fundraiser and donation income.  We choose our fundraisers carefully and responsibly, using criteria such as applicability to youth, ease of sales, and low price vs high return. Registered families are encouraged to participate in designated BSL fundraisers to the maximum extent possible.

Fundraising Requirements:

  • $150 deposit check to Team Manager at the beginning of the season.

  • Raise minimum of $150 in BSL approved fundraiser.

  • Upon completion of fundraising goal, the deposit will be returned.

  • If fundraising goal is not met the deposit will be cashed.
