It has been a memorable and tough year year of lacrosse. We've had injuries, horrible weather, and some battles on and off the field we'd like to forget.
At the same time, we've forged character, teamwork, and resilience in our work as individual players and teams.

Scorpion Players--I hope you had fun this past year, grew as a player and as a teammate, and look forward to what you can do in the offseason to contribute more at a higher level next year.
Scorpion Parents--thank you for entrusting your kids to our program. We hope you had fun along with your players, and have also seen "life lesson" growth for your son or daughter.
Scorpion Managers and Volunteers--this club cannot operate without you. Thank you for the ways in which you supported us all.
Scorpion Coaches--you are the backbone of our organization. To those of you without a lacrosse background, you showed tremendous courage stepping forward and doing your best to share this game with our players. Returning coaches--its always a treat to see how you mentor and support one another. Watching all of you Coaches in action and seeing your genuine concern for your players makes me a better coach, and a better man.
We saw a lot of success on the field this year, but what 14U Blue did in bringing the first (of what will be many...) lacrosse titles to Billings is to be celebrated! It's not just one team, for one year... but this is a testament to the pioneers of the club going back to the humble beginnings of 2011 and all of the work and sacrifices by coaches, parents, and players since that made it possible.
14U Blue--congratulations on achieving an impressive feat through individual preparation and teamwork!
I continue to be grateful to be a member of this Scorpion family... have a great Montana summer, and I look forward to seeing you with a lacrosse stick in your hand soon!
21-22 June Treasure State Lacrosse Camp in Billings

Treasure State Lacrosse Camps are the area's premier lacrosse camp experience. Our curriculum is designed by coaches with over 30 years of combined coaching experience at all levels and will undoubtedly make you a better player. We put the focus on detailed fundamentals and repetition and use dynamic drills to develop player's IQ. We truly believe that all players who want to improve will benefit from our instructional camps, no matter what level of experience they have. Players will learn new drills and techniques, receive daily position-specific training from top instructors, and compete for camp honors and awards.
I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend... and took pause to reflect on the sacrifices made by others so that we might continue to live as liberty-loving Americans. Never forget.
I also hope our student-athletes finish the school year having made progress in their academics, overcoming their own personal adversity along the way.
Youth State is upon us… and kudos to the HS Girls for Billings' first ever showing at the state tourney that almost saw a first tourney win as well! Information on the Montana Lacrosse Association Youth State Lacrosse Tournament will be coming out from your teams' manager, if you haven't received already. Despite attempts for our 10U boys and 12U girls to extend the season one more weekend... it did not work out this year. Know that the MLA intends to at least add 12U Girls to the state tournament next year.
This upcoming weekend culminates the hard work by our players, coaches, parents, and volunteers for the 14U boys, 14U girls, and 12U boys, and is a testament also to the previous efforts and years while as 8U, 10U, and 12U Scorpions. Coaches and Managers--again thank you for all you do for our kids and our sport.

Season Close-out, Finish Our Business
We'll be closing out the season in a variety of other ways too... equipment, facilities, and finances. Many of you have surpassed volunteer and fundraising requirements for the season, and as a board member, coach, and parent of Scorpions--thank you!
Some of you have not.
There will be a few limited ways in June for volunteer credits. For those of you who have not communicated with your player's managers how you will fulfill your outstanding requirements... know that it impacts the club as we consider post-season how we will operate in preparation for the 2019 season. Just as in our homes, the health of our finances impacts what we can and cannot do. The Player and Parent contracts, and Volunteering and Fundraising requirements are clear...
Please finish our business.

I say often this is a Warrior's game, Coaches and Players, with a proud heritage. I always hope to see clean, hard-fought contests, where at the end of the game kids are tired, coaches are hoarse, and parents are proud. I leave you all with this quote as our Scorpions honor the game this weekend, from President Theodore Roosevelt:

Now that the spring seasons are starting to wrap up, it's time to switch gears towards next year - and planning for success starts now!
The camp programming at Treasure State Lacrosse is something that we are incredibly proud to be bringing to boys and girls players in Bozeman, Victor, Helena, Billings, Coeur D'Alene, Missoula, Great Falls, Idaho Falls, and Kalispell this summer. We've put together an awesome staff that is committed to growing the game across the whole region, because this is our home too. Multiple locations provide more opportunities for players and families and the camp features make it a great value! We've got new curriculum and a dynamic approach to teaching players a deeper understanding of the game, both physically and mentally. I have no doubt that campers are going to walk away this summer with a smile on their face and a fire inside!
So this is a call to all boys and girls Montana lacrosse players to step up this summer!
If you're a U8 or U10 player who is just totally hooked on the game, you should be going to camp this summer to foster that spark and gain a valuable skill set foundation.
If you're a middle school player that is trying to figure out if they want to play seriously or just want to play for fun, you should be going to camp this summer because we're going to open up your understanding of the game and find you ways to be successful.
If you're a rising 8th grader or younger high school player looking to earn playing time and contribute at a high level, you should be going to camp this summer because we're going to expand your toolbox and level up your skill set.
If you are the top returning player on your Varsity team and think you've already got it all figured out, you should be going to camp this summer because because we're going to push you to reach your goals and won't let you settle. . .
And if you're brand new to the sport and want a great chance to learn what lacrosse is really all about, you should be going to camp this summer too!

Our goal is for our campers to leave X10 Lacrosse Camp excited about the game of lacrosse and asking to play more! In order to do this, we mix skill sessions with a variety of exciting competitions, games, and activities. It's not uncommon at X10 to be exploding watermelons with your shot or replacing lacrosse balls with water balloons. We play music throughout camp and keep it as lively as possible with prizes and giveaways each day. If you are looking for a camp that provides a diligent learning experience for all levels in a fun and positive environment X10 is the way to go!
This summer camp is the perfect opportunity to learn how to play the “fastest game on two feet”! Lacrosse is a combination of several sports, including basketball, soccer, and hockey. Camp will be instructed by the Billings Scorpion Lacrosse coaching staff and current/previous players. This camp will focus on the basic fundamentals of lacrosse: ground balls, cradling, passing/catching, and shooting, while giving campers the experience of playing this high-speed, exciting game. Skills will be taught according to US Lacrosse guidelines, giving campers a solid foundation.
*Cost includes a lacrosse stick for the camper to keep.
